Are they going to get blonw of a horse? These people are supposedly professional horse riders, if they cant handle a horse in a bit of wind then they shouldnt be licensed! FFS

If I was riding I would get blown off* but I have a fair bit of area for the wind to catch though!

Called into Balaklava races today after spending a few days treking around the Flinders. Got there after the 1st. Free admission Is this normal these days? and NO, the meeting hadn't been canned by then.
1 bookie and 1/2 a dozen punters. wow, how things have changed since the last time i went there 20 years ago.
The wind was almost gale force.
Unusual situation but better to err on the side of caution. fair enough decision.
