Bell was in serious trouble, left the field on the stretcher in a neck brace and was in the same condition in the rooms. Johnson will miss the rest of the season and should get 4-7.
I havent seen the footage, yet if that is right that Johnson lined him up and hit him directly in the head then Johnson should be facing charges from the police. If someone assualts someone on the street and gets charged for it, then it should be no different on the football field.
In that injury, Bell could easily be paralysed for life, a tragedy if an accident on a football field, yet if it was from a deliberate hit that would be one of the lowest cowardly acts in AFL to date. The AFL have a duty of care to make sure that does not happen, and if that means having assualt charges laid, the sooner the better.
