Veterans List

Can somebody clarify how the Veterans list works ?

I thought it was for clubs to use on players over the age of 30, who had played a ??? certain amount
of games for said club, and those players are excluded from the Salary cap.

Interested in it for Carltons sake (no salary cap joke's  )...

If Carlton get rid of Matty Lappin which is possible, we'd have no player on the list over the age of 28,
(at this current time). So therefore no eligble player for the age inclusion, BUT could it then go on games
played ? If this is so then it may be the only way they keep Whitnall...

Any clues :?:

I thought they had to play 10 years with the same club and then only half their Salary goes into the cap, but not 100% on that

they should keep lappin for as long as possible, flys under the radar from most clubs, very handy in the pockets
