He should never have left. No sympathy.
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

This rumour came up over a month ago.

I would gladly take Johnson back. He was sensational last night and still has the talent to be an excellent player.

He is 30 next March

We could do better with our trading and get someone younger than that

Forget it

I struggle to believe the rumour anyway

I was sorry to see Kane go and I still believe Kane has got some pretty good footy in him

However

I do not believe it is in the best interest of the AFC to target Kane, outside of Pav, their are other younger midfielders which the club should target, players like Jay Nash or Hurn

Unfortunately Kane has made his bed, he now needs to lie in it

It looks like Meesen is going to want to go home. The Crows should concentrate on getting a good young player for him. Both Johnson and Pav are too late in their careers for a team with an aging list to recruit.

Agreed there, if a younger player is heading home, try and get a another young player to develop.

if Adelaide try to get Johnson back, there is something wrong with their recruiting management

OK - but considering the cost of trying to get him and how many years it may take anyway..... and by young a meant player with 10 years ahead of him. 24 is middle-aged in AFL - the joints are beginning to wear after 4 or 5 years at that load level!

Pav has the capability to play until he is at least 32

8 years in footy is a long long time, considering his best football is still in front of him, the crows would be crazy not to have a red hot crack at him, even more so considering our weakness is a lack of a key forward

I am interested in where people believe the crows recruitment management have failed

I agree, our too high picks have been Flops, however considering the Crows positioning in recent drafts, my view we have done ok

It's easy to analise that teams like the saints and hawks have done very good in the draft, however, it's very difficult to compare apples to apples, on one hand, we have clubs that have had multiple first round selections, greater opportunities with early selections, whilst other clubs like Adelaide have had had limited first round selections, less margin for error

Agree, Crows have missed with Angwin and Meesen, and Sellar, well the jury is still out, however, due to the lack of early selections, the crows have had to rely on late picks and rookie draft system, this is where the crows have had plenty of success, in my view, it is here where people do not do enough analyst, however chose to continue on the easy observations and the soft analyst of the clubs 2 top 10 draft choices

At 22 years of age, Adam Cooney from the Western Bulldogs is one player that the Crows might want to think about trading for......
