Warwick Capper sells homemade porn tape
FALLEN football great Warwick Capper has reached a new low by attempting to carve out a career as a porn star.
Capper, 44, has made an X-rated movie with his 25-year-old Gold Coast girlfriend Kristy and sold it for a "six-figure sum" to an adult film distributor.
Capper, who last month was accused by his ex-wife Joanne of never having paid child support, shot the hour-long movie at his Gold Coast home.
Since finding fame with the Sydney Swans in the 1980s - at one stage becoming the highest-paid player in the AFL - Capper's fortunes have been on the slide as he tried anything to maintain a public profile.
He has been a stripper, a Gold Coast meter man, a lollipop man and a stay-at-home dad.
Capper recently announced he would stand as a candidate for mayor in next March's Gold Coast council elections.
He has also launched a website selling memorabilia from his playing days, called warrickcapper.com.au - with his name misspelled.
The movie, lasting an hour and nine minutes, has been bought by a Melbourne distributor for a six-figure sum, and is set to feature on an American website.
Capper said the film was "tastefully" compiled.
Stils of the movie viewed by The Sunday Telegraph show the film, show in a hotel room, is hard-core and anything but tasteful.
"I've had a lot of practice being a sex symbol so if you've got it, flaunt it," Capper said.
"It's every man's fantasy. I think I'm Australia's answer to Paris Hilton.
"Someone also said I am like David Beckham.
"I'm a good-looking footballer with the same quick wit."
A father to 13-year-old Indiana, Capper said his son didn't know about his latest exploits.
Capper's ex-wife Joanne last month told A Current Affair the Sydney Swans and Brisbane Bears player had never paid child support for their son.
Her lawyer, Stephen Baldwin, said a single payment of $885.20 had been made as part of the couple's property settlement during their 2005 divorce but, despite his career earnings, Capper had failed to contribute to his son's maintenance thereafter.
The film's buyer Robert, who did not wish to disclose his surname, said he was a long-time Swans fan.
He said the tape could fetch close to $1 million.
"He's got a remote control, zooming in and zooming out," Robert said.
"That is an hour and nine minutes of non-stop action.
"I've had some offers so far, but at the end of the day I want more than what I paid.
"There is a company over there (in America) that I'm dealing with at the moment.
"But I'm just waiting on the bench because once everyone knows about it they are all going to come running.
"I'm sure it's going to collect over the $800,000 to $900,000 mark.
"At the end of the day his name says it all, and porno would be the next word I could think of.
"Warwick Capper's gone XXX."
Capper has a long and notorious rap sheet.
He posed nude numerous times for Penthouse magazine, once with his ex-wife Joanne.
Last year, he was beaten up and left with a bloody nose by a Russian film-maker on the Coober Pedy set of the road movie Yobbo Up The Guts.
He currently manages a real-estate centre on the Gold Coast.
In his prime, Capper kicked 388 goals from his 123 games with Sydney and Brisbane.
The flamboyant forward, known for his tight shorts, kicked 103 goals in 1987.
He was twice runner-up in the Coleman Medal - in 1986 behind Brian Taylor and 1987 behind Tony Lockett.
