Chocco was very poor with his management of Lade

Port's game is suited to a fast track, I am not convinced they have the toughness to grind out a win against quality opposition, this may hurt them come finals

Thought that poor OLD Lade was gonna fall over out there. Chocco just to let you know - Brendon Lade is not 22 with perfect legs.

Craigy's had a shocker of a year when it comes to coaching but even Choko still manages a way to make him look good every time they play.
I don't think the Crows could beat Richmond or Carlton with Perrie down back and the players they had out tonight.

Brogan pulled out 5 minutes before the game started
That meant PP had one recognised ruckman

To say Choko[a premiership coach with PP] was outcoached is unfair
AC won because the conditions suited them, and played the conditions well

What Toby has forgotten how to ruck???? Cmon Mal The tall options in the Crows forward line were hardly dominating so much that Thurstens could not have a run in the ruck

Port are flat-track bullies beating up the lower sides and that's about it

Port won three clearances in a row when Toby finally moved to the ruck

In addition Chocco should of had players like Cornes playing the 3rd man up role, Adelaide did this effectively all night

Some very cluey people on here using the wonders of hindsight to back up there comments, hey Hondo?

Mal is right,if it was played at 12:40 today in bright sunshine Port would have a better chance of kicking 20+ goals, but the wind and rain suited the Edwards,Goodwin,McLeod's as they are older, harder bodies who can take more punishment and kick on.

The traps of having such a young side.

On a side not, WTF are you guys teaching Gill in the way of kicking at North. The bloke shows plenty but his kicking really takes away from some of his marking efforts.

professional footballers should be able to adapt to the weather conditions booney. its not as if they are going to play in ice and snow like some sports e.g. soccer, gridiron. heaven help them if it rains during the finals series

Has to be sunny?

Exactly my point ... flat track bullies ... as long as conditions suit they are the best looking team in the comp!

Peter Burgoyne made a couple of clangers looked like he didn't like being in the rain

Toby couldnt ruck? Cornes just gets his kicks floating in the backline? Far out Robert Walls was calling it during the 3rd Quater that Lade couldnt jump and Crows had the third man coming over.Think even Stevie Wonder could of seen this one!

I share the view that Lade should have been given some rest with Thurstans and Chad Cornes doing some of the rucking, even if only when Hudson rested, but as a Crows supporter I thank Chocko that he didn't do it - in the end it made all the difference.

I have the utmost respect for Lade. but I think Port should have started to think about him permanently at CHF or FF and bringing the youngsters on while he can still support them a few seasons ago. Craig should probably start to think about the future too and use the two youngsters with Hudson in a bench, FF, on ball, rotation.

It is a very SA thing to play the "stars" all the time whether or not they are fit enough, and neglect bringing on the developing players.

Got back about 630 this morning - I thought we were better most of the night but we just were not putting it on the score board so to speak.

The use of Lade was a bit puzzling by choko but on the other hand I also thought that Mummbles use of the Birdman was a bit of a mystery bag to.
It is what it is !!!

FFS next he'll be asking if Matthew Robran was bettr than his dad!
