From the link,
"Prior to this ordeal, Alan had been drinking very heavily, and as the night’s events unfolded he became increasingly concerned for his own safety".
Why drink heavilly during the AFL season? Why is it that incident after incident in the AFL involves players being smashed off their faces on alcohol?
My response to Didak would be go reap what you sow.

Why have the mods editted something that has been on the radio and TV all afternoon?

I hope they have just rearranged the wording of the post but I can't remember what I originally wrote

I think they are just protecting themselves against any possible defamation/libel/slander in case it's found to be untrue ... just like anyone in their situation would/should.

The original wording read as if it had him with the suspect on the day of shooting in the city not six days before (i.e the night after the Melbourne game) as is the case.

Sgt Stedenko: Mr Didak, it is widely believed that you are a tosser. Is this true?
Alan Didak: Why yes, in fact, I am.
Not much of a story really.

REB

Nothing new for Collingwood normally it is their supporters that are questions by Police.

Strawb - as much as I enjoy your attempt at humour.
I'd suggest that players being talked to by police is something that's nothing new to most AFL clubs these days. In fact I'd suggest police have been involved in investigations with most AFL clubs over the past two seasons.
The ol' cliche about clubs like Collingwood is no longer and their 'bogan' players is correct, but it's also correct about all of the other clubs, all of whom have their element of cashed up d*cks playing for them.

Dogwatcher look at the NRL the bulldogs are always talking to the police cause of the stupid acts of their players. Its nothing new hell like most Victorians I love picking on Collingwood. You want to see a Shithole go look at Victoria Park now the joint looks terrible typical Collingwood leave a place and take anything thats worth Money.

I think that's standard for any facility like that mate.
Nothing new in that. Look at Waverly....

Man Norlunga is in better conditions than Waverly. IMO the AFL should never have gotten rid of Waverly they should have enhanced it and embraced it

The VFL built it in a "bowl" style that was popular in the US in the 60s but it was the wrong style for Ausssie Rules football.
Had they built it in a similar style to the MCG, and had a decent rail link then it would still be here.

Not the first time Dudak has been in trouble, but unfortunately collingwood couldnt just sweep this one under the rug, or try to pay people off like on other occasions.

I still can't understand why (some) AFL players who should be classed as elite athletes are partying on until all hours of the morning during the season
That's as much a worry for me as associated with an alleged criminal
