Port & Crows throw the form guide out!

One team has lost its last two, the other its last four by a combined 160 points, yet both Adelaide and Port Adelaide have opened favourite on Centrebet to win their vital round 12 AFL games!

Port, which has typhooned out in flag betting from $9.00 to $51.00 in a month, is in free-fall – having been thumped by Sydney (31 points), Geelong (56), Hawthorn (34) and Carlton (39) – in their last four! But the Power is a $1.83 favourite to beat Essendon at AAMI Stadium this Sunday!

“Coach Mark Williams has labelled his team ‘soft’ – and who’s going to argue! Centrebet’s Neil Evans said. “But we believe they’ll respond at home. If they don’t fire up here, Port fans can put one big black line through their season.”

Meanwhile, despite having lost their last two - to Melbourne and new flag favourite Geelong - the Crows are $1.85 to bring down the Kangaroos ($1.93) in Qld on Saturday night! “They have injury worries, but you’ll see a lift in the Crows attacking potential this round. They kept the Cats to their lowest score of the season last round, but just faltered going forward.”

In another knife-edge clash in the split round, struggling Fremantle have opened a narrow $1.88 favourite against the rejuvenated Western Bulldogs ($1.90)!

Power, losing 4 in a row, season on the line, coach labels you soft, playing at home... you would expect the players to come out firing...

Port need to win it in the middle and expose Essendon for a lack of leg speed, if they allow essendon to win the contested footy, Llyod, Lucas and Hird may be too much for Port to handle

my early tip is Port

Crows, went alright last week, Goodwin's injury is a concern and I hope Craigy gives the boys a light week on the track.

with Gibson injured I do see an opportunity for the Crows to expose a thin Kanga's defence, once again, need to win the midfield battle and execute the delivery efficiently

We need some forwards if we are to expose the Roos defence though!! I don't completely blame them as the delivery on Sunday was bloody abysmal, it makes it hard when the ball is bombed in or kicked so far out in front of you that it has time to take a few ridiculous bounces.

I don't know if Crows should be favs but have to be close to an even chance - it's almost a neutral ground and Kangaroos are about the same mark on the ladder.

Port .... well I picked them this week for all the reasons SD mentioned, maybe that's what the punters think too

the Crows recent record against the Kanga's is very good, from memory Adelaide have won the past 5 encounters

Nice try Sheeds. The Kangas have won six out of their last seven matches and the Cows have a few sore bodies coming off a tough hitout against the Cats. Your boys go all right at Carrara too. Maybe my Microsoft Sarcasm Detector isn't functioning properly...might have to go with the iMac version instead.

I would have thought the Bombers would have been favourites with their great form and they also had a great win over here against the crows

On form it's Bombers easy .... but they have a ? on them still no-one can be sure they aren't a flash in the pan. I can't decide either!

But the Eagles had a 10 game winning streak against Norwood and still lost.
