It's a draw!

Tigers 73, Lions 73 at FULL TIME

Highlights of 1st 1/2 showed an average game ... must have got exciting at the end Tiges came from 14 points down.

Drought sort of broken

Example of a great game even tho not LOTS of goals

How was that unlucky bounce at the end for Buchanan? Swans 2 points down, 30 secs left, his kick heading for goal, bounce and leg-break into the point post. Swans still 1 point down and time runs out ....

Bombers deserved the win, well played

How wide are the goal posts at the bottom these days with all the padding. Surely they could make some sort of thinner padding that still works well that at least makes the goal posts a similar height all the way up!

Sydney very unlucky. The winning goal was as a result of the boundary umpire stuffing up as the ball was well out of bounds. McPhee's right foot was even out of bounds as he kicked with his left!

Having said that, can't take anything away from Essendon. They had control of the game for most of the night.

Melbourne winning today puts Richmond on the bottom of the ladder, they play each other in Round 12 - so then we will know who then is the better side out of the two!

Watched the last 10 mins of Rich v Brisb. Sensational finish to game with Richmond OH so close to snatching a win but a DRAW was the end result.
A GREAT finish to a game of Aussie rules with a fitting result BUT within seconds of the game finishing the viewers are subjected to the same usual CRAP talk from the commentators about how there are NO winners, its an Anti-climax, Players dont know what to do, Crowd dont know whether to laugh or cry, calls to change over 100 years of tradition and scrap the draw and have extra time, Blah Blah Blah. FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How much more NEGATIVE can they get??????

They interviewed a Bribane player after game and he seemed more Depressed than if they had lost the game.
How about some POSITIVITY??????
How about they talk up the great effort by both teams?
How about the crowd standing as one and applauding both teams off the field?

GEEEEEEEZ, In cricket, some of the most MEMORABLE and GREATEST games in history were Tied matches.
Aust v Windies 1960 Test in Brisbane
Aust v India 1986 Teat in Madras
Aust v Sth Africa 1999 World cup semi-final

Do we really want ANOTHER change to the rules of footy?
FFS, Leave the game alone.

Do NOT need a winner during minor round games for the following round to proceed but in finals there cant be a draw because it would stuff up the finals program.
The abnormality with the finals is that the Grand Final can be a DRAW with no extra time because this generates more $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ FOR THE AFL. by Re-playing the GF.

The last quarter was very good; the Tigers had all the momentum and should’ve won. With 10 seconds left Kane Johnson kicked it into the forward line, straight to a Lions player. I tipped the Tigers and considering more people probably tipped the Lions, I wasn’t happy with the draw!
