tredders v roo who got it right

Postby bayman » Sat Jun 02, 2007 1:43 pm

when tredrea returned to footy he played an sanfl game to get a run under his belt before going into ports afl team

roo, he has gone straight back in (presuming he plays) with no run at westies

which team has got it right ?
my opinion is i believe port got it right by giving the bloke a run & not putting added pressure on him to perform
i thought secret groups were a thing of the past, well not on websites anyway

1 Come back to us in 3 weeks at least .....

2 Given Tredder's form since round 1, tell us exactly what was gained by him playing in the SANFL??

i agree hondo, tredrea should have played a few more games with the magpies before coming back to the power

I have no issue with either decision

I do not think their is a right or wrong answer, the crows believe Roo is physically ready so why not play him, he proved last year he can perform with Limited preperartion

Let's see what collingwood do with Buckley, I bet he will come straight back in to the side

Nathan Buckley and Mark Riccutio are in a different class than Tredrea. Buckley will play for Collingwood or no-one same way Riccutio will never play SANFL. Tredrea simply isn't good enough to warrant that.

Tough call on Tredders ..... captain of the club

He had the most serious injury of the 3 of them

Plus Port Adelaide were playing it smart with Tredrea, by given him a game in the SANFL just so he can get some sort of match fitness, instead of rushing him into the AFL and him just being totally useless coz he's had no match fitness.

Ricciuto managed two goals, no other Crows player beat that score so the Crows probably did the right thing in playing him rather than giving him a go in the SANFL.

Where I think the Crows made a rod for their own backs was when Jericho was picked to be dropped to make way for Roo, Jericho has some talent as a goal kicker, players that can kick accurately for goal like Jericho are the very players the Crows need more of, yet still having said that I dont know who they could have dropped instead!

Stupid comment RR, to say Tredrea is any lesser player than those two is ridiculous. I suppose you think Perrie is better than Tredrea too.

Each club has it's own policies when it comes to players that are coming back from injury. Some clubs go on a case by case situation. Some will go back to their local club and others will come back straight away.

Why is my comment stupid exactly? IMHO Tredrea isn't anywhere near the player Buckley or Riccutio are. No i don't think Perrie is better than Tredrea.

RR is on the money here in my opinion, Tredrea had a few good years at the top and one huge year in 04 while Roo and Buckley were at the peak of their games for a much longer period of time which puts them a class above.
