Who is set to challenge?

With,as most would agree, the West Coast being the team to beat this year, and Adelaide recovering from an incredible injury list to be top 4,Sydney being around the mark once more, who are the teams set to challenge this top 3?

Kangaroos-Big week this week, sorting out the men from the boys.West Coast bouncing back from a loss and the Roos on the back of 6 wins go to the west full of confidence.
I think some genuine mid field pressure on Harvey,Simpson,Harris (a Brownlow roughie for me) I think the Roos can come undone. They also have a forward line capable of kicking a winning.IMHO,not capable come crunch time of beating the top 3.

Geelong-These guys are the ones for mine who can make a genuine tilt at the flag.Got a running midfield, big (and small) targets up forward, and goal sneaks all around the place.Could well come down to avoiding a trip to Perth/Adelaide/Sydney in the second last week of the year, prelim's are tough to win anywhere, even more so away from home.

Out side of these 5,I cant see any one else challenging.

Bulldogs have a dud coach,Collingwood rate themselves too highly to be a part of it.

Fire away non-believers.

my bolter for the top 4 is hawthorn.; west coast, sydney, geelong to round it & adelaide to be fifth due to %.
I don't believe that they can win the flag this year but it wouldn't suprise me to see them make a preliminary.
unfortunately i don't think brisbane will make the 8.

If we assume West Coast, Sydney & Adel for top 3 (bit of an assumption in itself) I would say the threats are:

Hawthorn
Geelong
Collingwood
Kangaroos

Other teams:

- Port: I now have a question mark on Port as they have now lost fairly easily to Sydney, Adel & Geelong all teams that look close to the mark in '07. They may be good enought to steal 8th tho.
- Freo: may come good like they did last year, they have a very good list but seem to need their backs to the wall before they fire up.
- Bulldogs: I have had a ? mark over ever since they looked v ordinary against the Crows.
- St Kilda: I thought would still make the 8 but now reckon they are gone

Adelaide won't make the top four. Port won't make the top eight. West Coast will win the flag.

Agree, disagree and agree.

Think Sydney are right there again with the Weagles, and still wouldn't be ruling out Geelong or Collingwood from attending the big day.
