after todays game scott welsh made comment that he had the flu this week

during the week he admitted in having some sudafed

sudafed has pseudoephedrine in it ... previously this is a WADA banned substance

this year it is on the 2007 monitoring system

which means its not banned but will be monitored for misuse

Thats probably why he took it then. the club docs would have submit the relevant papers and now is possibly subjected to a drugs test. If he had a legitimate infection I dont see any problem with it

I doubt any AFL player takes as much as a tick-tack these days without checking it with the club doctor. Very likely he only took it because it was off the banned list.
