Tredders

Postby Psyber » Sun May 20, 2007 4:47 pm

In the post-match discussion on 5AA there was much debate about whether Tredrea should be playing, and whether his past form should keep him in the team now! What is there to carry on about? If he is fit he should be playing. If he is not fit he should not. The idea of playing him somewhere where he gets less attention and pressure may have merit - IF HE IS FIT TO PLAY AT ALL.

I agree that Port tend to play better without him at times because they try to kick every ball to him when he is there. Both Port and Adelaide have suffered from keeping the "stars" playing when injured, or past it, and focussing too much on them as the "go-to" players.

[Adelaide should not have played Burton this weekend either.]

Looks like playing two games in a row on the Doom aint so bad after all....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

watching the live game today, I can definitely say Tredrea is not fit

Port do have a history of playing Tredrea when he is not fit

Tredrea had a very serious injury ... you'd presume the coaching panel are clearing him to play so must be fit in their opinion? If he has to run himself back in to form I guess he is better of doing it at AFL level rather than for the Magpies. At SANFL level he starred and kicked 7 goals .... but he is definitely struggling to get it together at AFL level.

He is a great player so should come good sooner or later.
In between signatures .....
