Interesting game to watch
Obviously plenty of goals which will please the fans and viewers
Roo's are definitely on the right track, they have got some exciting youngsters in Campbell, Thomas and Swallow, most impressively these kids are prepared to take on their oppositions and attack the game
The other positive for the Roo's is their experience players in Harvey, Simpson and Grant are also in pretty good form
The concern out of last nights performance was having 130 pts kicked against them, now before forum members jump on me, I am not being negative, I am probably making the same observations the Roo's coaching staff will be making this morning and I am sure they will be addressing the issue this week at training.
I thought Carlton was dead on their feet after half time, Favola was on one leg and Betts was injured on the bench, but Carlton still managed to kick 20 goals.
Plenty of people will say "who cares", if the opposition kickes 20 goals and we kick 23, well that is the objective of the game.
History shows that the team with one of the stingiest defence are usually most successful come finals
All in all, plenty to like about the Roo's, they continue to defy the critics, with some young talent playing exciting footy, Wells and Archer to come back in to the side, most importantly the Coaching staff still have some improvement area's to focus on, which should keep the team pretty level headed.
Moving forward if they can tighten up their defensive action without losing that attacking game, they will continue to improve and continue to defy the critics
