Cats shock favourite to down West Coast!

Fresh from its biggest win over Richmond in 100 years of senior football, Geelong is now favourite on Centrebet for the first time in several seasons to beat heavily-backed flag hot-pot West Coast!

The Cats, who were shock losers to the Kangaroos in their last home match at Skilled Stadium, have opened up $1.87 on Centrebet, narrowly fancied to beat the West Coast ($1.93) in round 7.

“Despite their six from six start and hefty status, the Eagles have had to work hard to get home in recent matches, and Geelong can boast a swag of goal scorers if they get an even share of ball from the centre square,” Centrebet’s Neil Evans said. “Geelong might just be the team to dent the premiers’ unbeaten run. Either way it will be a fascinating betting match in a game set to take all sorts of twists and turns.”

Meanwhile, hapless and winless Richmond is now a raging $1.40 favourite on Centrebet to win the wooden spoon, while Hawthorn sharp-shooter Lance Franklin has firmed dramatically to $5.00 (from $16.00) to win the Coleman Medal after his bag of nine against the Bombers!
