Yeah, another one of those 'Victorian Ignorance' Threads...

It is however in the VFL/AFL competition:
The equal 8th highest score.
The highest score of the 2000s, previous was 31.12 (198) by Essendon vs N.Melb., 1st QF 2000
The highest score at the Telstra Dome/Docklands; was 31.10 (196) by St.Kilda vs Carlton, Rd 10 2004
The highest score conceded by Richmond, was 32.19 (211) by Geelong Round 9 1989
The first time a team has scored exactly 35.12 (222)
The most amount of goals more than behinds - 23, was 22 on 5 of occasions.
The equal 11th biggest winning margin ever.
Biggest losing margin by Richmond, was 141 points - 32.17 (209) by North Melb. vs 9.14 (68), Round 2 1990
Geelongs' best ever 1st quarter, 2nd quarter and equal best 3rd quarter against Richmond.
The equal 3rd highest 1st half score by a team - 20.6 (126)
Record 1st half score by Geelong, previous was 17.10 (112) vs Adelaide 7.7 (49), Round 8 1992
The 2nd highest scoring half by Geelong, best was 21.8 (134) vs Brisbane 9.5 (59), Round 7 1992

Geelong back to the Blight-era scoring .... let 'em loose and go for it!

I have to admit, it's good for the comp

(very bad for Tigers supporters)

that is not league footy wedgie  league footy in my book is sanfl, wafl, tassie, vfl, afl, ntfl, & to a lessor extent the quafl, nsw & act, but that is a great score it is a score like you use to have when batting

Disagree with you mate, for example I played in the Southern Football League and Campbell Creek were also playing in a league when they kicked their many goals.
The SANFL is no more of a league than the AFL or Southern Football League, they're all leagues and to just suggest that some selected competitons are leagues when others are not is quite ridiculous IMHO.

ok, at a higher level than most other competitions, i wasn't good enough to play league footy (sanfl) but was good enough to play a1 & a2 footy until i did my back, now i'm just too old, too slow, & no bloody good  but you can use words to suit yourself but you know where i'm coming from

Totally agree. I don't care how big the margin is, so long as the game is played the way it should, fine by me.

That was the kind of footy Australian Rules Football is known for.
