Gaspar - Poor form by the Richmond FC

Postby sydney-dog » Sat May 05, 2007 8:46 am

First up - All the best to Gasper in life after footy

My view, Richmond's decision on Gasper is poor form, surely the decision to go with youth is a decision that should of been made sept / oct last year

The club signed Gasper to a one year deal to now tell him after five rounds they will go with youth, the bloke now has no alternative options, if the club made this decision post 2006 season, Gasper could of nominated for the draft or looked for a trade

My view, Richmond have all but conceded on 2007 and are planning for 2008, Gaspar is the first victim

Very poor decision by Wallace. Wait now for the injury to Polak and McGuane (who did quite well against the Eagles IMO) to get monstered by some of the leading forwards.

Anyone who goes to a night club in Prahran SHOULD be suspended.

I thought he was finishing the 2nd year of a 2 year contract this year?

Either way, he was well and truly finished as a decent player before this season.

Yes. But you're young.......ish.

Besides I think the club he was thrown out of may have been on the "other" side of High and Chapel St. Where it's all pink T-Shirts and blonde tips in other words the CUB end!

Revolver IS that side of High and Chapel! And it WAS Revolver he got thrown out of - argument over a pool game at 1.30am.

He signed a one year contract six months ago. His form had been quite reasonable - you are mistaking him from a couple of years back.

Wallace's mealy mouthed reasoning is the flimsiest piece of waffle I've ever heard.

BWAHAHAHA. A good start for life after Gaspar. Coughing up (pardon the pun) 35 goals to a team that finished BELOW the Tigers last season LOL.

GASPER had a serious knee injury about 2-3 years ago ??
Before that he was an elite defender and a star
He is now about 30 and since that injury has been playing below his best

The only thing that is wrong is if the club sacked him after 5 games
Why not piss him off before the year starts or the end.
