Bayman
daniher, safe until the end of year
connolly, again, unless Freo looks like missing the 8, he would be safe until end of the year
wallace, definitely safe, Tigers signed him up to a 5 year deal and paying him out would put massive financial constraints on the club
laidley, he is coaching really well at the moment, he will definitely see the year out
thompson, the Cats had the opportunity to release Bomber post 2006, the club would have egg on their face if they sacked him mid season
malthouse, no chance of being sacked during the year
I can see changes at the end of the year but no sackings during the season

Please be Thompson, Please be Thompson.
Nope, it will be Daniher becaue the Geelong Football Club Administration don't want to look like complete wankers, they would rather that the team look like wankers on the field every week. GROW SOME BALLS AND MAKE THE TOUGH DECISIONS. GRRR.

...ah that feels so much better now!

Wallace & Malthouse have contracts, safe for 2008
If they fail to make the 8 - Thompson, Daniher & Connolly all at severe risk, Connolly maybe safe if I had to pick 2
Laidley should be OK - not sure of his contract situation?

Thompson & Daniher would have to be right up the top in regards
to longest coaching stints without a flag.

Current stints with no flag:
Daniher: 10 years
Thompson: 8 years
Malthouse: 8 years
Sheedy: 7 years
Connolly: 6 years
Pagan: 5 years
Laidley: 5 years

On Sportsbet there is a Drought Breaker Market!!!!
First team to win a game -
Melbourne $1.60
Richmond $2.30
The best bit is in the conditions of the bet - MONEY BACK IF NEITHER SIDE WINS A GAME IN 2007 HOME & AWAY SEASON - surely they play each other at some stage?
havent looked at the draw of these teams, Richmond might be value

His attitude was shameful at St.Kilda......thats why

If Richmond play like they did yesterday, they'll win a few games in the near future, so that $2.30 looks really good value.

Yeah from what i heard Blight wanted to get rid of Robert Harvey in the same way he delisted McGuinness, McDermott and A Jarman. I think he certainly picked the wrong player at the Saints to make a point. Harvey is a champion still at the age of 35 (7 or so years since Blight was at the club).

I think Thompson's run is the most lucky.
Both Malthouse and Daniher have at least coached their sides to a Grand Final berth in their tenure (Daniher - 2000, Malthouse - 2002, 2003) where as Thompson hasn't even gotten close.

I'd say losing to Brisbane by 9 points in a Prelim Final is close but I wouldn't be sorry to see him go. It's over Mark.

And what would be the minimum pass mark for say Connelly, Sheedy, Clarkson, Laidley, Pagan all of which (all bar Sheeds perhaps) are believed to have internal opposition in some quarters?
