heritage jumpers

would there be anything to stop the adelaide crows from using sanfl club jumpers from year to year as their heritage round jumpers? this way adelaide could pay homage to each sanfl club by focussing national attention on that particular club and our sensibilities would not be insulted by the mish mash jumpers we've had foisted on us last year.
plus this could potentially be a way of seeing the prison bars worn.

before anything silly gets said, i am a norwood and brisbane/fitzroy supporter and believe that port have the right to wear their prison bars/wharf jumper that i alternately respect yet don't like.

I think that is a great idea - I thought last year' guernsey looked good however it wasn't a real old-time guernsey

Rotating the SANFL guernseys (except for Port) would be great

I also believe strongly that Port should be allowed to wear the B&W prison-bars

Would they need permission from all other clubs for these clashes???

West = Essendon
Glenelg = Richmond
Port = Well, no chance :lol: But if they did, Collingwood I suppose :wink:
South = Carlton

They can use the heritage guernseys that Centrals are wearing this year - they deserve a national audience.

1 reason why this WON"T HAPPEN- once a design gets used in the AFL, the AFL own that design.
No SANFL club in their right mind would hand over control of OUR jumpers to the AFL (excluding Port...)

I think the theme for heritage round this year is the 70s. Thinking about it - Hawthorn, Kangaroos, Carlton, Essendon, Richmond, Geelong, St Kilda would the largely the same as current. Maybe Brisbane will finally pull out the Fitzroy outfit?

I would not want to see the Crows wear any of the SANFL jumpers. In fact - I don't really see why there is a Heritage Round in the first place. Most of the teams that were around for the majority of last century either have the same jumper or have moved interstate. The one club that was brought in to the competition from outside the original VFL aren't even allowed to wear their heritage guernsey.

A heritage guernsey being worn once every few years I don't mind - a heritage round every year is overkill.

A heritage round is useless overall if Port Adelaide (Australia's greatest senior league club) can't wear it's heritage jumper.

Imagine if the rotation happened and the Crows did wear the Magpies jumper!!!

There would be a RIOT! - I would start it!

Brisbane have already worn Fitzroy's jumper in an AFL match three times in the last three years. They will wear the Fitzroy jumper in an AFL match twice more in 2007.
