Goal of the Year

Postby Mr66 » Sun Apr 22, 2007 9:34 pm

Did anyone see Adem Yze's miracle today?
For those that didn't, think Peter Daicos 1990 Qualifying Final,
except this one went through on the full.
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

Missed it. Saw Dustin Fletcher's 75+ metre on the run torpedo on Saturday. Absolute beauty.

only 4 rounds in and already a heap of contenders...Dustin Fletcher, Russell Robertson, Adem Yze, Leon Davis

My favourite for now is Yze...was freaky and from almost 50 out

my fave was McLeods left foot with the corner of the 50m and boundry line against Collingwood at Telstra. In front of their fans and to seal the game for us. That was legendary, not flukely like daicos or Yze.

"Fluke" and "Daicos" are two words that should never be used in the same sentence.
BTW, If nobody has seen it , he jags it with a minute left in the 2nd quarter.

Yze's goal just about sums him up as a player. To be fair, I saw him handpass on one occasion today.

100% agree if he did it once I could possibly agree the fact he did it time and time again means it is no fluke......

there have been some great goals this year....

Yzes, Hansons yesterday, Davis' agaisnt richmond, Fletchers was awesome on Saturday, Mcgrath has kicked some beauties for Brisbane....
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Don't forget Wirrapunda's a few weeks back, and Hurn's goal on the weekend.

Not sure they will come close to winning goal of the year but two of Alwyn Daveys today in the ANZAC day game were brilliant, especially the one where he beat Scotty Burns to the ball and ran on and slotted it....very impressive!

Des's was the best goal ive seen for a while some right footers cant even kick on there left foot, let alone a left foot checkside from the boundary. Goal of the year for me so far.
