Crows v Swans

Talk on the national game

Crows v Swans

Postby Hondo » Sat Apr 21, 2007 10:52 pm

Great effort to down the Swans - takes it to 8 out of the last 9 against them. Sydney are a team we seem to match up very well against (unlike West Coast). Rutten, McLeod & Bassett controlled the defence again and the forward line always looked competitive. Sydney might have got closer if they had kicked straight - 19 scoring shots to 16. Hall and O'Loughlin missed set shots in the last 10 minutes. O'Keefe was outstanding for the Swans ... he is a class act.

Really liking the work from on-the-way-up juniors Reilly, Van Berlo, Vince, Knights, Giriffin and Porplyzia. Porplyzia's run down of Adam Goodes was inspirational. Hopefully form and injuries can hold until more of the regular players return from injury.

I am aware this is a completely one-sided review of the game :)

not to mention Van Berlo's front on tackle on Goddes

Swans at full strength, the Crows minus Roo, Johncock, Shirley, Bode and McGregor, just a fantastic effort

Sydney are the Crows "Bitches"

And well done to the Power for beating Collingwood at the G. That would really p**s Eddie off. Both South Australian teams at 3-1, nice work.

Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

So the Crows & Port are 3 wins, 10 more to go to garantee a place in the finals! Time for a showdown in the finals! 8)

just got home from the game and what a shocker!!!...terrible game...wish Id stayd home and watched teh Roos game now  Swans were ordinary and really arent going full steam ahead yet, they are timing their run one feels, they dominated all the stats and probably should have won...crows were more efficient in front of goal so well done...

One thing it was interesting sitting in the outer tonight, when the crows kicked a goal it was like someone had mad a par at the US masters, just a gentle clap...no excitement and atmosphere..

You'd be pleased to know Dutchy that I watched the game and was impressed with the 'Roos win, they played quite well.
If they produce that kind of effort and attacking intent every week they might be a chance for the 8.

Upon reading your reply, I wasn't joking, but I doubt whether the 'roos will make the 8, it was just good to watch them play a decent style of play tonight.

There was a time before stats when you could watch a game and work out with your eyes who deserved to win. I hate stats with a venom.

What the ****? And you call youself a SANFL supporter? You saying Im not a true South Australian? Ask Dissident what I think of the SANFL and South Australia as a state! Ive known him for about 10 years and have never had a bad word to say about him or the or the SANFL as a whole, but really Wedgie, you're comment was completely wrong. You're one of the people on this website I'd grab a beer with anytime I had the chance. Hate Port as much as you want, its great, we love it, but stupid comments like that don't get you or the SANFL, (and you are a better promotion than some bullshit ad with Neil Kerley will ever be) anywhere.
