Michaelangelo Rucci having a crack at us?

Our friend Mr Rucci has had a crack at this site in the advertiser today.
Musn't have much to write about, he has made a fool of himself, again.

What does everyone else think? If we want to have an opinion on Perrie's kicking we will.

read it MW, he said he didn't want to give it free publicity. This just goes to show how amaturish he is.

Could be BigFooty not here

Has he publicised that in the past???

Nothing really wrong about what was said in the Essendon v Crows thread about Perrie...

If he wants examples of vitriole though, he should sift through a few of the Port boards from last year with the comments about Lonie and Chocco.....

the article

IAN Perrie has every right to never again sign an autograph for a Crows fan. The Adelaide forward would also be justified in walking past many of them pretending he is deaf.

The vitriol and scathing critiques of Perrie's performance against Essendon in the AFL season opener overstepped the line.
On a website - that deserves no free publicity - cowardly Crows fans (who can post away with anonymity) have portrayed Perrie in the cruellest way. They went beyond assessing his football performance to insult his character.

The website emphasises the fickleness of footy fans. And the need to legally challenge Internet websites.

Perrie, with his poor misses of set shots, was below par as an AFL player against Essendon. His ears would have been burning all week.

As the Crows supporters acidly digested Perrie's horrid goalkicking, the same question came up. Would he get a game at any other AFL club?

It is a well-worn debate. A futile one, as well. After all, no other AFL club is asking for the 28-year-old.

And the real question about the talent on Adelaide's list goes well beyond Perrie. Let's ask the question a different way.

Imagine, just imagine, AFL chief executive Andrew Demetriou today announces that the league is to expand to 17 teams next year with the advent of the Jo'burg Miners from South Africa.

Demetriou declares that as there is no draft pool in South Africa, the new club can claim uncontracted players from the other 16 AFL clubs for the first three years.

But the established AFL clubs can each place six players on a "protected list" holding them to their current clubs for the three years of the South African concessions.

Who does Adelaide put on its safety list? Certainly 23-year-old defender Ben Rutten, who before his 50-game milestone had earned All-Australian selection at full back.

And 24-year-old defender Graham Johncock, who has so much upside in his potential, particularly if Adelaide ever develops him as a midfielder.

Key position player Nathan Bock, 24, who appears best-adjusted in that ping-pong game Adelaide plays with its centre half-backs and centre half-forwards.

Now it gets difficult.

There is 24-year-old key forward Trent Hentschel. Reality says there is no certainty he will return in 2008 to recapture his unfolding career before a serious knee injury last year. Pass.

The superstars - captain Mark Ricciuto, Simon Goodwin, Andrew McLeod or Tyson Edwards - are in the veterans category and so are not likely to be raided by another club.

No player aged 28 or older should be on a "protected list" . . . although the exception might be 28-year-old forward Brett Burton.

Have Adelaide's young bucks - in particular Richard Douglas, Nathan van Berlo and Chris Knights - done enough to merit spots No. 4, 5 and 6 on a protected list?

Doing this exercise explains why so many Crows fans are suddenly questioning Adelaide's recruiting again; asking why Adelaide trades so little each October.

And consider why coach Neil Craig repeatedly says that with Adelaide's list as it is, the Crows need strong contributions from many players to win. And that includes Perrie, whose confidence does not need to be rattled by feeling unwanted by his own club's fan base.

I think you'll find that where he was having a crack was in "Rucci's Root" or Roast, whatever it is called.

True - I can't find the said Perrie bashings either - maybe he is referring to Bigfooty

I think he is Blink, have just read the bigfooty crows board and high up there is a thread to this peanut and his weekly column. They freely admit that Perrie copped a bagging there and he also copped sprays when walking up the players race

Well, there mightn't have been much Perrie bagging on this site in the past - but Perrie sucks! He's rubbish!

If Mr Rucci would like to know my identity - I'll be happy to tell him who I am. There are many people here on the site who could tell him who I am too.

So there, I said it!

I did read it....how is saying "he didn't want to give it free publicity" mean it was aimed towards safooty.com?

The 'Ian Perrie - sigh' thread on Bigfooty's 'Adelaide Board' is 8 pages long and counting ...

As a Crows supporter, can't say I am filled with pride at the comments

I wonder how much that site is influencing his writing. He starts off sort of defending Ian Perrie, quickly forgets that and has a go at what we assume is bigfooty, then leads on to a confusing analogy questioning the quality of the Crows' list as tho he is just trying to inflame the guys on the site.
