Cousins also suspended from East Fremantle?

I read this on the Sydney Morning Herald news server,
Cousins will be suspended from the club entirely, which means he will not be able to train with his teammates or play with WAFL side East Fremantle.
Club chairman Dalton Gooding said the suspension could last for up to a year, depending on when Cousins was ready to overcome his issues and play football again.
If he has just missed a training session, why bar him from training and playing with East Fremantle indefinatley? Surely he needs some form of training and match assesment in the WAFL if his suspension is not an expulsion?
