Get rid of Tim Watson...now!

Postby Dutchy » Sat Mar 17, 2007 10:38 pm

Great player but how does he keep his commentating job?...I also think he does the weekly news for 7...for one he has a shocking voice but tonight he said the following -

 "Well there is no doubt Cameron Wood has an appointment with the tribunal this week" - 10 seconds after he got reported
 "Jarred Brown is rebounding out of defence really well" after Jarrad Brennan rebounds out of defence

He really struggles....bring back Dermie or Gary for mine

I listen to Tim Watson each morning on SEN, and I have to say the man is dull. There's no doubt he knows his stuff, but he is so boring to listen to. Maybe his inability to make it interesting is why he failed as a coach.

Watson reads the sports news on weeknights. Just as badly as he commentates and bores AH on radio.

Seven deliberately went the "loyalty" route. I haven't watched much as of yet, but Bruce and Dennis aside everybody else seems to be copping a caning.

Carried his St.Kilda coaching form into the broadcast booth.

Bryan Taylor, James Brayshaw and Gary Lyon on a Sunday Arvo were awesome. Although Cometti is a legend he cant do it all...

Hit the Road Watson - I'll be trying to tune in the radio (as long as theres no poxy 2 second delay like 10's finals last year)

The Ox is worse because he rarely thinks before he talks.

Example: The other day when Nathan Thompson was injured, Ox said the Roos would finish 5 or 6 spots lower without Thompson. Considering they finished 14th last season, I can't see how this is possible. :)

Memo to Ox: "Do not engage mouth unless brain is in gear".
