Rucci you are full of shite

And I quote from todays Advertiser (5/3/07)

"Geelong - with only one score in extra time, a goal from a set shot from four-goal key forward Cameron Mooney - had proven Williams' pre-game forecast that the heavy rain would reduce the match to a silly contest of luck"

Ahhh Rucci, the reason your boys did not win is because Ebert and Cornes CHOKED right infront of goal!!!! :finga:

Luck....give me a break. Both sides played in the exact same conditions. Accept that you were not good enough Rucci and get back to writing your normal dribble about the Crows gambling problems or your personal hatred of Neil Craig.

I am surprised anyone still bothers to read his articles, which could be described as gutter journalism at best. Many people see his name on an article and disregard it no matter what the content is about.

I tuned into 5AA on a Saturday and heard his voice and automatically changed to MMM straight away.

I would wonder why the Advertiser promote his garbage, yet when you consider the poor quaility in general of their newspaper, is it really any surprise!

It would be great if Fairfax could start a newspaper in Adelaide, then you might actually get a well written paper to read for a change!

i would have thought that a game played in the conditions such as the geelong-port game instead of coming down to LUCK it would come down more to the fact about what TEAM wants to WIN and goes in hard for the ball.

I mean if the mindset of port and games played in rain is hope for luck then they wont be doing anything for a while, and wouldnt that be a sad thing!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's the point isn't it... every game is down to luck when they are close... except when C Cornes missed from 5m out on a 45 degree angle and when Ebert dropped the chest mark (this i'll give was hard with the conditions) - but gee it was sad to see C Cornes miss that shot at goal... SUCKED IN YOU CLOWN CORNES!! =D>

Too much bias & self righteous tripe from both parties for my liking!
True Sports journalism should be objective for Gawd's sake!

Cornes reminds me of that character played by Kevin Kline in "A Fish Named Wanda". He thinks he's intelligent just because he reads a lot. You can always tell which book Cornes is currently reading because he manages to work its contents into his comments to make himself sound intelligent.

In the words of Jamie Lee Curtis, "Apes DO read philosophy, they just don't understand it".

Makes you wonder doesn't it. During cricket season we get to read intelligent disscusion pieces from people like Steve Waugh, Glen McGrath, Darren Lehman etc. people who actually understand the game and how it's played at the highest level. What do we get in winter. Articles from Rucci that scream "Go The Power" and Cornes' tripe that makes you ashamed to barrack for the Crows. (well almost) Atleast I save a few bucks a week in the winter by NOT bying the paper. Appologies to Andrew Chappel..... The one sports writer in the Advertiser who DOESN'T think he knows everything.

With all this negative feedback on Rucci and Cornes it makes me wonder how many of you people still buy the 'Tiser,it might not be to read the articles they write, but it still helps pay the wage.If you dont like the author,in general, dont read the article.I for one no longer read Rebecca Wilson for the above reason.

And to change course a little.Who gets paid more from News Ltd,Nicole or Graham?

I bet Nicole.

Even though I dont read Rucci's dribble, I have to confess to still being an Advertiser reader, Doug Robertson does at least write a decent football article, the equal of his contemporaries interestate.

I have quit the Sunday Mail (News Ltd) altogether for the Melbourne Sunday Age (Fairfax) which is light years ahead of the rubbish served in the Sunday Mail.

One suggestion is for people that are heavilly into football and think the Advertiser sucks is to buy at least one copy of a Fairfax paper per week, I favor the Sunday Age, yet I wouldent mind getting the Monday edition as well for footy news, you simply have to phone your newsagent and get them to get it in for you and hold it behind the counter until you can get there to pick it up.

What the Advertiser - Sunday Mail need is competition in Adelaide, by getting the Age newspaper, you can help their competition to become stronger to the point where hopefully we might get an Adelaide Age newspaper of our own! 8)
