I feel Essendon really need to break free of the Sheedy era (which is an anachronism) and enter the bold new world of AFL football. Many clubs are leaving Essendon behind at the moment.
I don't think it is any coincidence that all the long term successful coaches in the AFL are currently coaching clubs who are struggling.
