Channel 7 commentary team

First quarter of the new Channel 7 commentary team.

Cometti - silk.
McAvaney - a bit rusty in the actual call at first. Settling down nicely.
Schwarz - got cut off after the first goal as they went to the ad break. He's the colour man - without colour thus far.
Watson - the worst football pundit on TV.

That "gimme dat thing" commercial is gonna be annoying.

No adverts on Foxtel and Clinton Grybas is doing his usual great performance.

Even if during the AFL season there is nothing to watch on TV and Bruce is commentating a Geelong game I'll refuse to watch.

Thank christ for Foxtel and C10, bring back Eddie!

foxtel's coverage of the crows / power game was pretty good, Grybas and Healy are good to listen too and I thought Lynch was fantastic with his special comments

Why the F do we have the Crows/Power game on 2 channels tonight and then Channel 7 treat us like kids again and we dont see the Roos/Pies clash until 10.35???

mate, the reason is living in Adel your in the manority group, chanel 7 decided to give foxtel the Adelaide game nationally, but still run with the Adelaide game locally and show the Kangas game at 8.30pm in Melbourne, 10.30 in Adelaide and 1.30am in Sydney

the AFL has been blowing its own horn in regards to the TV rights deal, yes plenty of $$$ in the bank, but are the fans really getting a better overal coverage

i would like to see a change in the media laws, if a station has first rights and they refuse to show a game live, it should go back to the market in a bidding process

I know SD, but Channel 7 not showing it at a reasonable hour in a footy state? ....Ch10 and 9 didnt do that

Dutchy, mate, hopefuly you get the opportunity to see plenty of live Kangas games this year, they will have a youthful side, plenty of enthusiasm and hopefully a bit more attacking style of footy

I'm confused. Channel 7 show the local game at 8.30 (as you would expect), then the Kangas at 10.30. I know you're a Kangas supporter, but - what did you expect? :?:

Didn't like that grey jacket that Bruce wore in the opener. Iwish that they all wore the sames jackets it has to be black

I was up on the gold coast last week for work, they are a region that has been starved of sport, this year a NRL team will kick off, next NBL season a basketball team will be added to the NBL, and there is definitely a strong AFL community in the region, this market will continue to grow

My thoughts, the Kanga's need to over a 3-5 year period transition the club to be eventually based at the Gold Coast, if they do this, my opinion it will be a great success story

They have 1000 local members signed up already...after all the years of Canberra they only got about 1500 members...good start...I dont think they will actually relocate there but co-exist with Melbourne...Ive been to the Goldy 3 time sin the past 18 months and was amazed how many kids were kicking footies up there and the exposure the sport gets, obviously from the Lions flags
