wouldn't be Kanga's - they need the money.

The only way i would see them doing it is if they themselves know they have no hope and it is means to get the players up for a crack at the eight.

Saints?

Sorry to disappoint Bayman, the agreement is that no matter what club wins it half goes to the players

Wouldn't that be a salary cap issue to the clubs that play close to the cap ie most of them?

AFL offers $1m prize for season 'double'
Friday Feb 9 13:36 AEDT
AFL players have been given a million dollar incentive to win both the pre-season competition and the AFL premiership in 2007.

The AFL and its sponsors NAB and Toyota announced on Friday that any club that wins the double will collect the impressive bonus.

The money will be split evenly between the club and the players, and won't count toward the salary cap.

The winning AFL grand finalist already pockets $1 million in prizemoney, and the NAB Cup titleholder $220,000.

The last club to win the double was Essendon, in 2000.

Did we all read the page 9 AFL footy budget.

It reads like this

NAB CUP PRIZEMONEY
WINNER 220,000
RUNNER UP 110,000
LOSING SEMI FINAL 500,000
WEEK 2 LOSERS 27,000

Thats what was printed.......
I know what I would be doing.
