Strange question - but you never know...

Anyone out there know if the Power have got any players who are particularly skilled at lawn bowls?????

Jack High eh?... (Cahill)
Not since Chocco took over as coach!

Do you ask this because there's a bowling club next door to Alberton Oval?
What about Unley, Prospect, Elizabeth & Woodville Ovals?
They've all got greens in close proximity, doesn't mean they play there!

No, I'm asking cos the Power are coming up to the Riverland next week.
Part of the visit is a bowls night and I'm playing.

Just trying to get the skinny on whether there's a good bowler there.....

I hear that both the Power and the Magpies are highly skilled in that area as they lawn often on the greens next to the oval.

OK, the crack at the Legs is a fair one. We are at one of the lowest points in our proud history but remember Port Adelaide have won the same amount of premierships as Norwood this century and regrettably for us, we are both way down the pecking order these days.

Regarding Geelong, it is common knowledge that the Cats haven't won a real flag since Adam was a lad. The fact remains though that our team that represents a regional victorian centre has not been beaten by the second South Australian composite side since 2004 and we have finished above you on the ladder for the past two seasons, even though 2006 was Geelong's worst season since 1990.

It is typical however that Port fans will always bring up the SANFL when somebody disucsses AFL because the second South Australian composite side is Port in name only and that all SANFL clubs could lay equal claim to the 2004 AFL premiership..ah the Power, the team for all South Australians. You guys are so not Port Adelaide that I don't even hate you. Port used to be number one in SA but currently they are the underdog in Adelaide...I hate the Cows and the Eagles more than you blokes. Can you feel the love?

REB

Crack at the Legs a fair one lol, u've gone soft REButter!!

IIRC The Magpies were bundled out in an elimination final, hardly a position to belittle another club over

Soft?? If you are prepared to defend our recent record then you are starting to move into the realm of the Richmond supporter's acceptance of mediocrity! To the hall of mirrors with you Permstance!

Pfft I'll never defend our abhorrant performances my friend, but unlike some I'll always defend my club

Well lucky Adam Thomspon was the man who ended up in the Camilla Parker Bowlers team.

Wasn't a convincing bowler - but improved as the night wore on ;) Nice lad though.

Also caught up with Stuart Cochrane, which was nice.
