Andrew McLeod

It was mentioned on 5AA this afternoon that Andrew McLeod has not been selected by his team mates to be a part of "the leadership group". Yet Tyson Edwards was voted to remain in the group.

The club is saying that it has nothing to do with the incidents last year between McLeod and Edwards, just the internal players leadership selection process.

In any case, McLeod being a champion footballer and a veteran of the club, I wonder why then he would not be chosen to be a part of the leadership group? Burton was apparantly chosen in his place. So I wonder what Burton brings to the group that McLeod doesnt?

Thoughts?

What about some of the younger blokes like Ben Rutten stepping up for leadership roles?

Ben Rutten was dropped from leader ship group this year. I thought at time that was a mistake. Cant believe Bird brain is up there now and they are talking about him being a future captain.

Taking the leadership responsibilty of McLeod might even help his game....it will give him less to think about while applying his craft.
