AFL draw out

refer afl web site.

For my team, the western bulldogs, got a VERY favourable draw...

We play:-

5 interstate games - one each Perth Canberra Brisbane Darwin Adelaide.

Bris and Darwin games back to back so hopefully they will go directly there.

Only play 4 finals teams twice - WCE, St's, Dees and Crows.
But all in a row with geelong the week before from round 16 to 20 - horror run in this stretch.

Play MCG 5 times - one night Rich round 4
TD 12 times mostly night it seems.
Also play Roos and Hawks twice.

It seems to be fair to me. Two interstate games are our HOME game in Canberra and Darwin.
Dont go to Skilled at all.
Play Melb twice at TD - much better than the 'G'

Not all that happy. Couldn't expect a draw as soft as last years but we have to play Adelaide, Freo, Bulldogs, twice which is an absolute BIATCH. Added to that we get five interstate trips next season but miss out on playing in Sydney for the first time in many years. Just for a change we only get to play Essendon and Carlton once but we do avoid our having to play our traditional bogey sides West Coast and Hawthorn twice during the season. A bonus is playing Collingwood at the G as a home game which every club wants because of the Do Re Mi invovled. Let's hope we can do better than a 16 goal drubbing next time!

I hate football.

regards,

REB

The Crows have only to play 3 top 8 teams twice - Collingwood/Fremantle/Bulldogs !!! Very Nice I think :)

They Play Sydney in Round 4 and then dont see them again for the rest of the season and the same with West Coast in Round 13 and both games are at AAMI !!! Very Nice again I think :)

After round 12 they play all games either @ home or in Victoria !!! Very Nice again I think :)

This maybe the first time ever I have no complaints about the draw !!!

Collingwood will NOT be a top 8 side again, discount that, this year they got lucky.

Why complain about your draw any way? Unless you get 17 games at the G, and 3 at the Dome, your draw sucks.Essendon/Collingwood any one?

Port Adelaide got a pretty good draw. Only downside is we have only 1 Sat. night home game. But overall it's pretty good. 3 games at the MCG, only 1 game in Perth, 1 game at the Gabba, 1 at Aurora, 1 at the SCG.

8/10 for Port's draw.

Crows have a SUPER DRAW

First game at home
Last game on a Friday night in Melbourne so guaranteed min 7 day break before finals, no long trip to WA

Play both Syd and West Coast once, both at AAMI

7 games in Melb 4 x TD, 2 x MCG and 1 game at Skilled stadium
the only other games outside of Adel or Melb is Freo at Subi, Lions at Gabba and Kanga's at Carrara
away games are evenly spread

4 of the first 6 games at AAMI,
4 of the last 7 games at AAMI

Crows play twice, Freo, Essendon, Power, Cats, WB, Lions, Pies

This is the best draw the crows have had ever!!!! - I am stoked

Kangas have been shafted yet again -

- Only 13 games in Melbourne, the Crows have 12 in Adelaide but theres not 9 teams in Adelaide!!!! FFS!
- After all thsi travelling only come to AAMI once!!! FFS!
- Play Lions twice in Brisbane
- ONE Friday night game - who pioneered these? FFS!!!

At least the new coach will have pick 1 or 2 next year

I don't want to rain on your parade, but mate your don't get your priority pick until pick 17 now

so you will have pick 1 and 17 not 1 and 2 :D

SD - we dont get a priority pick so it doesnt matter (we won 7 games last year), in fact its better for us as Carlton and Bombers dont get their before our first round pick

They do voluntarily play the 3 games at the Gold Coast though.

Yeah, being a Dees supporter, I'm still left wondering why they have to play their home game against the WB at the Dome!!!

Other than that, I don't think our draw is too bad.

and for that reason they should be looked after by not having to go back to the Gabba, only once to Subi and maybe one of Skilled or Tassie....stupid programming, we have no chance

whens the last time Essendon, Collingwood, Richmond, Carlton have played at Skilled?

So they play 6 games away from TD or MCG, excluding the 3 on the Gold Coast? Sounds like a couple more than a Melbourne based club should get, only made worse by the 3 games sold by the board.

I reckon the game at the Gabba is a must have, to continue building the profile of the club in QLD, perhaps one of the Perth trips and/or the Geelong game could have been better programmed to make the fixture a little more palatable for Melbourne.

Eddie everywhere should be happy. 4 games out of Victoria. No interstate travel in last 12 rounds. 15 at MCG. Ahh still wont win the gf. :P

Lack of $$$$$$$$$ means bad draws for some Melbourne based clubs.
The draft was introduced to make the competition even, and yet sides
like the kangarooteds end up with a draw like this.
The players are no doubt filling up at service stations and saying yes to
this famous console operators request.
" Sir do you have Fly Buys?"

The new Kangarooted club song 2007
" Well Ima leavin' on a jet plane, dont know when Ill be back again....."
OR
" Up up and away in my beautiful , my beatitful macccccchine."

The new corporate Kangarooted theme: The Ansettroos.

we used to be sponsored by Ansett or Qantas from memory!!!

The CEO has said that we will be debt free in 3 years so I guess a bit of pain now for long term gain

I think we both confused each other...i was referring to the draft at the end of next year after laidley gets sacked and a new coach is running the show (Horse and Duck?)
