I was privileged to play 281 games between the Magpies and Power, winning 2 premierships in ’96 and ‘04 respectively.
My involvement with the Club spans 40 years, beginning when I was just 5 years old and dad was coaching the U19’s. The seed was sewn and eventually I had the opportunity to play in the U15’s Samboy Cup in the prison bar guernsey.

It was our family's life and we loved it. Football clubs can bring communities together and inspire them.

Since retiring in 2010, my media roles have taught me a great deal about the industry. This insight would be of value to Port Adelaide’s communications and relationships.

Having been previously asked to join the board, I haven’t felt I had the space to do it justice until now.

The club has had its opportunities since 2012 and made notable achievements. There are aspects I’m not privy to and am keen to get a fuller appreciation of from within the walls, perhaps motivating a more courageous brand of decision making.

As someone who was involved from starting out in our club’s AFL journey in 1997, I have much to offer our Women’s AFLW program who have started out on their own path against the odds building a new team in the national competition from scratch.

I am bullish enough to ask the hard questions and feel I’m suited for this role.

A vote for me is a vote for PAFC AFL & AFLW Premiership success, leadership, honesty, integrity, loyalty and a fresh set of eyes.

We have a talented playing list, and my goal is to assist wherever possible so Port Adelaide can claim it’s second AFL Premiership, and its first AFLW premiership.
Tredders

I find this bit particularly interesting, very calculated. ".....perhaps motivating a more courageous brand of decision making."

If they're old they should remember the last time he was on the board. Or know of his financial prowess. #IJF

There is that also.

Not sure Ol’ Tredders brings much more to the table though.

Could you imagine having to negotiate with Tredders at board level...good luck.

Any idea whether the expiring member elected Board Director, Kathy Nagle, will re-nominate?

Plenty of time for a retort inbetween stumbles, if you're any good you'd back yourself in.

Tredders is a guest speaker at the cricket club Sunday Arvo and with some passionate port people amongst the club I'm sure he's going to get grilled pretty hard.
He'll be good as long as he doesn't have to read from a cue card.

Tredders aint waiting for the AGM...

"I am humbled and honoured to be elected to the Port Adelaide FC Board of Directors by our Club's members. Having spent the majority of my life connected to the Club I look forward to a new chapter in this relationship where I can be a formal voice representing our Club's passionate members. I understand this position is not to be taken lightly and I hold it with the utmost of responsibilities. I will hold myself to the highest of standards and will drive everyone involved in our Club to do the same, honouring the former custodians of the Club who drove the Club from a community Club formed just a dozen years after the game was invented, to becoming one of the winningest football Clubs in Australia.

Port Adelaide exists to win premierships, and whilst I cannot promise on-field success, I can guarantee I will use all of my abilities and endeavours to help our Club in its efforts to win its second AFL Premiership and its first AFLW Premiership."

Sheesh that's close.

Bit concerned here at the prospect of some accountability for Kenny and the football department.

Kenny’s got a contract extension so it won’t matter
