Assuming this rules us out of Grundy then. Ratugolea and BZT trying to get to Alberton, be stunned if we pull off* all three.

Can you see a player from Port being traded off anywhere to help assist these moves Booney? If all 3 were to get done you would think someone to the value of a late second round pick might need to be shopped out.

Clurey is one but I can't see him bringing much value in.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

Don’t know why the hold up, he told the club a little while back that he needed to head home for family reasons and Port has been in his ear for over a year so I don’t think the Crows were ever a chance which realistically only leaves Port.
Pick 37 or 43 should be enough

Clurey would hold little currency, he's also contracted until the end of 2025 so we'd have to get someone to agree to taking the two years. I joked about him to Adelaide in an earlier post, but it wouldn't be the worst move for them given the key defensive injuries they have and we would have him over pretty cheap.

We'll have to give something of value up. Right now we have 37, 43 and 72.

One, or two of those picks probably get one of Ratugolea and/or Zerk-Thatcher, meaning we have to get creative with the other one.

Sinn, who has had injury issues but is highly touted could be a trade option, Bonner would have some currency late 2nd / early third and Jackson Mead has apparently had some interest shown in him. Something like 37 + Bonner or 43 + Mead might be enough with some late 4th round points added or taken away.

I can't see Grundy happening without us giving up someone who isn't on the fringe. Hayes might have currency with his late season showing to Geelong in exchange for Ratugolea, out of contract but not a free agent yet.

I’d be surprised if Bonner had any trade value

He'd be a pick 35-45 type player who would add some value to a pick in the same range.

For instance Zerk-Thatcher for 42 and Bonner.

Played 11 games this season, only one in the past 9 rounds and you think he’s worth a second round pick?

I doubt Essendon need a Bonner type player

Port Adelaide is officially out of the Brodie Grundy race. No bad blood, but club & player had different perspectives.

One or more of
@sydneyswans
2x second rounders + 2x third rounders should make this deal a formality in October.

Definitely needs to be something else. He played 22 games this season, Port need to find some picks in the 20's especially if they want Esava as well.
