Voss calls time on glittering career
Brisbane Lions triple-premiership winning captain Michael Voss has announced his retirement after 289 AFL games.
Fantastic champion of the game !!!
Never heard a bad word spoken about Voss - and would of been in any ones side !!!

just a GUN, in his prime was almost the best player in the comp, hard, courageous and inspirational, to come back from the serious leg injury that he sustained just shows this man's character

An absalute champion and will be missed, hopefully the next captian is half as good. I hope Voss sticks around in a assistant coach role or simular mentor capacity.

It would have been fitting if Voss had reached the 300 game milestone next season. However a true champion, who achieved just about all that could be achieved.
With Michael, Voss, B.Scott, Leppitsch and Keating all gone, and Akermanis almost certain to be elsewhere, 2007 is likely to be a tough year for the Lions. Still, at least there's an opportunity to fast-track a few of the youngsters.
