Geelong played that last qtr as individuals, Melb as a team. What was Guthrie doing getting in selwoods way rather than protecting him or getting out of the contest to create separation and that last 5 min collision when a goal was a certainty.

How good were the two rejects Lever and May??

How were the Melbourne boys embracing Chocco as they walked off and then him on the circle singing the song.

God he’s a ripper, the Di’s secret weapon!
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Vs Port is a better match up than Brisbane.

What was the error?

Early in the last qtr, Brisbane player took a mark. Umpire called time off to set the mark, clock stopped. Umpire held his arm up indicating time back on, but the clock didn't restart. Tom Morris estimated that 24 seconds was missed. No big deal, this happens all the time, like everytime they recall a centre bounce the clock doesn't restart.

At this stage it would be

Geelong v Brisbane @AO
Dogs v GWS/ESS/Freo @ Gabba
Sydney v GWS/ESS/Freo @ Tasmania

How can they play two in Adelaide when Saturday twighlight is the only time slot available? Doubt they will have one of the top 4 finals twighlight Sunday.
Or are they hoping SA Health will have new "health advice" that they havent had all year
Port v Geelong Friday night
Melbourne v Brisbane Saturday night is the rumour

The Brayshaw deliberate was the one.
The 50m penalty paid against Close was correct.

Yeah, lose we play at AO on a Friday night and get an extra break, win we play at AO on a Sat night. Not rocket science. Both games have the double chance. Pretty obvious stuff.
Similar happened last year, first week of finals is fairly irrelevant anyway.

So lose & get an extra break playing Friday night, as opposed to winning & playing the following night - and having a lesser break?
This obviously is “rocket science” & I am missing the “obvious stuff”…

Till the next final mate (which will be a knock out, win or loss), that's the bit your missing. I'd rather have a bigger break leading into a knock out final than one with the double chance, last year showed how not important the first week can be. I should have an interpreter on Saturday nights or not post.

And the good news is that Geelong will still win it. We will make a few personnel changes.
Port are no threat. Even with Tommy Stewart out our defence holds them comfortably.
Melbourne- I'm not overly concerned with. They showed their hand last night. We have them covered in September.
Brisbane and the Dogs are probably the only 2 I'm concerned about. Because they attack through the corridor and are the quickest ball movers out there. Dogs have similar game plan to when McCarthy was coach. Dogs just need to find some form.

So when you work it out, it really is ours to lose, although severely handicapped by the coach..

Port would be saying the same thing after that shithouse capitulation. In every final we play the oppo will always think they are in it now, no matter how far ahead we get. ******* salty as.
