Must be nice being the only Victorian club to have a genuine home ground advantage.

Always training on the same ground you play your home games on, familiar change rooms, home crowd…
Sounds tough.

Fatigue mate as you well know

Push forward for the previous play, ball gets turned over, ball gets partially cleared comes back Dogs can’t get back and across to the grandstand pocket, mark to Rohan.

This is the plan of limiting rotations. Fatigue creates free players as they can’t do the full ground press/squeeze of the late 00s/early 10s.

Dogs fans can thank the ex Cat player Stephen Hocking for that loss….
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Puts him in rare company ;)

@JKUp yours

@Wedgie Chris Close played SOO for Queensland in the 80s….

Brad Close is 60 Kg dripping wet but has arguably the cleanest hands out of SANFL draftee in the last 10 years apart from Caleb Daniel, IMO.

We had him earmarked from about 2014-15 as a talent and we paid for him to come up weekly for several games to play 18s in 2016.

Would’ve played in that 18s GF in 2016 but wanted to stay in North Gambier and win a flag with his mates at Mr Gambier and finish school.

Came back up and started playing seniors in 2018 and as spargo said was key in our 2019 flag given his ability to create goals for his team mates with his skills

I think he’s a ripper especially his ability to create turnovers and if he tackles you you stay tackled. Witness him taking on three Port players in the 4th qtr of that 2019 GF and he won the footy where if they got it they would have easily scored.

He flown under the radar but there’s 17 other clubs that stuffed up not picking him when they had the opportunity to do so before the Cats!
