Vic teams should brace for not being home for the last 15 weeks of the season if they are serious about the comp going ahead. Lets see how much Scott and Buckley are happy to do anything for the good of the game.
Going to get messy for the last 6 games of the season but no reason teams cant fly in and out of sa and nt according to current restrictions. Maybe the 3rd hub should be in Tassie instead of WA so that all teams can have fluid movement for the last 6 games

Hopefully we keep playing crap, miss the eight and Scott gets the arse.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between teams going to a hub in WA or coming to SA? It seems Auld never really speaks of a hub in SA. Today before this announcement he said SA should be opening soon.
Cant they come to SA under the same conditions that they go to WA?
Is it that our government wont let them play each other in the 1st week like WA are with Geelong and Collingwood?

Id suggest theres a 14 day quarantine period. Perhaps we are enforcing that and WA aren't.

Or is it cos the AFL have no intention of creating a hub here??? For whatever imbocelic reason....

Does seem a bit crazy from the SA government, a hub would be great for a struggling economy, fill up a couple of hotels, might get 10k to AO for even a neutral game which provides the SMA with some much needed revenue.

I wonder if the AFL is thinking of using some regional centres for hubs, away from the cities and away from the CV hotspots. Just like the pre-season games - places like Wagga, Alice Springs, Albury, Tassie who all have AFL standard grounds, you would think it would be cheaper also.

The AFL are not keen on it. The league would need a 2 week break.

The AFL are still keen to make sure there are games in Victoria no matter what. It's at a point now that either they rethink that or end the season. Because the Vic government can't be far off doing that for them.

Correct.

WA are allowing Geelong and Collingwood to isolate in their hotels, train in groups, play each other and have no outside contact with WA people.

Once they've arrived, played each other and served the 14 day isolation period they can then play West Coast and Fremantle.

Given you can come into SA from WA without isolating they could then come to Adelaide and play Port and Adelaide.

Yes, the SA government has not yet granted the same exemption the WA government has regarding sides coming into SA from Victoria.

They are ******* professional athletes. Plenty of others live away from home to do their job of playing a sport. Why should AFL players be any different!

Do you regret the 2011 Premiership? :D
Would you hand it back to have a new coach?

And I hear the AFLPA say that they want full pay! Hold the boat, so I gave up a contract role opportunity I was seeking in Melbourne, so am I entitled to full pay?

If the AFL then say 'Those teams that participate fully will be eligible for draft picks next season, ahead of those that don't'. then see who decides to play ball.

Precious twats.
