It has been terrible

I got home with 4 mins to go in the last. Asked wife "good game"? (thinking that the high scoring and over-exuberant commentating meant that it was at least a decent game). Wrong. She said it was terrible! Only glad I picked the least terrible of the two, Essendon.

Seriously though the standard of skills I've seen over the course of the three weeks has been nothing short of shocking, Geelong aside.

Essendon bleed against an ordinary side. They've got no defensive structure, painted over cracks last night.

Melbourne allow McKernan to be a focal point. Melbourne no chance of top 4 now.

Umpiring at an all time frustrating low.

Why aren't there more Melbourne fans in here?

We have to paint over cracks until Hooker and Gleeson return. Mutch going down early didn't help either. We seemed happy to get into a shootout type game last night and backed ourselves in. Whilst it was far from perfect, I'm happy with a win and also kicking 20 goals.

Phillip's a late out for the Blues Lobbe in, just changed my tip to the Swans....

Can't pick the Blues with any confidence at all... hope we win today but just not confident...

Gee whiz Blakey is going to be a star.

Curnow’s goal was a beauty

Good win. Still a lot of improvement needed. Some costly injuries. Sinclair was great. Heeney is a freak and Kennedy beat Cripps. Jones very very good. Happy with Thurlow too.
Carlton have a a lot of upside too
