Former number one draft pick Lachie Whitfield has been investigated for deliberately hiding from drug testers with the help of two former Greater Western Sydney football officials.

Interesting one, if it's proven ( beyond doubt ) that he made moves to avoid being tested then I don't think anything but a sanction can be handed down.

That is huge...and he was allegedly avoiding an illicit drug test? Can't they self report and avoid a strike or club knowledge? What a f**k up...

By avoiding any drug test you obviously subject yourself to suspicion of performance enhancing drugs.

Yeah that's my point. He could have self reported an illicit drug use and no one would be the wiser.

I think the media may have added a bit of mayo to the story.
My understanding is that the tests for illicit drugs and PED's are seperate and he missed a AFL illicit drug test not a ASADA test.
This is backed up by ASADA telling the AFL it's their problem and washing their hands of it.
Not sure what the penalty for missing a illicit test is but he won't be sanctioned by ASADA or WADA if think
