Two fold, in part, yes, also a fair indication that he's letting the club know to gets it's house in order or he could leave but if he wanted out he'd be out now. They were shit when he joined, they're still shit now and he could have named his price to go (almost) anywhere right now. He's showing loyalty to them here.

Young player seem to be coming on well. Plenty of game time early, plenty of pain early but starting to improve now.

Add to that the likely prospect of Horne as well to the list and the young talent gets better.
