why is the supergoal still a thing?

Im all for trialling rules in the NAB, but that isnt a trial anymore, it is just a pre-season thing. Why?

Pretty sure NAB give money/footballs to the players grass roots club for any super goal so it's become a bit of a way for clubs to get something

Correct- $500 worth of footy's directly to the players junior club.

All part of bringing footy back to the grass roots, along with playing at suburban grounds.

Interesting Hawthorn, Collingwood and Sydney are leading the argument against Essendon paying 7 months of Ryder and Monfires ( and the other suspended players ) wages.

In essence, Port could "keep" up to $600,000 from this years Total Player Payments ( TPP ) and use it towards next years. This could, given the right circumstances allow Port to turn a wage of say Aaron Young on $200,000 per year into a 3 year deal with $400,000 for a recruit.

Interesting that they had a say in our top up player situation and now want a say in this.

I'd say "Tell 'em to get stuffed".
