I've seen them a bit lately and he can't keep his feet, his ability to turn players inside out has passed him by.

Some dickhead who looks a lot like me with the same name as me picked him to kick two goals yesterday, he hit the post with an early goal scoring opportunity but the buck stopped there, he wouldn't have even got a Macca's encouragement award after the game.

Still don’t know what to think of McGovern.
Was very happy to get him but he just doesn’t give enough effort each week.

I’d play him on the wing next year and tell him he has a preseason to get ready for it.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

You need a stand out forward to draw the 2 best defenders and let Gov fly. That's when he played his best footy for Adelaide.

Would rather the reverse tbh
Surely Murphy has to go?
Signed a 1 year extension a few weeks ago... baffling decision....

Move Betts, Simpson and Murphy on now Kruezer has retired.
Nothing to lose now.

He's still in our best lineup, but we just can't utilise him. Our forward structure baffles me. We all run to the same position, we clog up our forward line and bomb it in hoping for miracles.

The guy I reckon who misses out next season is Casboult (McGovern is better held onto given Cas is over 30) if we get Charlie fit. I also think if we can get our forward structure working, Eddie can still play a role. His forward pressure is still there and those assist us in getting goals. And if Cripps could kick a set shot.... well... then anything could happen.

Our major problem though is our midfield. I think this s the reason the ball gets out the back often. I would think 40-50% of goals from free play are out the back goals where they outnumber us goal side. Not helping this is our defenders who don't kill a contest golden fist style. They let it drop over the back for teams to run onto.

Murph needs to be used sporadically next season. He's slow and his ball use has got worse in the past year or so - which when coupled with his lack of pace and inability to get back and help, works against us.

Play McGovern across half back.

Carlton has delisted four players, including Ben Silvagni, the son of club great Stephen and brother of fellow Blues player Jack.
Ex-Cat Darcy Lang, ex-Saint Hugh Goddard and 2018 draftee Finbar O’Dwyer have also been told they won’t be offered new contracts.

You can only select 3 to play in your team. They're all in their prime.

Who do you take?

The weeks rest definitely helped Carlton, IIRC it was a 30+ degree day and the only time Michael Tuck wore a short sleeve guernsey. Dunstall out injured didn’t help either.
