adelaide give up 10 and 47 for geelong's 14 and 35

they must think the guy they were going to select at 10 is still going to be there at 14

To get back in the 2nd round courtesy of the Lowden/Cheney trades.

Exactly there must be someone who they rank as a 2nd round pick who might be available at pick 37.

Jeez that might make it tough to get their hands on Durdin. Thought they would have stayed at 10 & snapped him up.
If you can keep your head when all around you have lost theirs, then you probably haven't understood the seriousness of the situation.

I can see why we traded pick 10 for 14.

Our last two pick 10's were Phil Davis and Dangerfield.
Our last three pick 14's were Brodie Smith (yeah can play), and two superstars - J Sellar and F Watts.

Hopefully we can jag another one of those beauties at 14.

Only thing I could come up with is that the Crows think that the person they have pinpointed to take with their first pick will still be around at 14 while whoever they have aimed for with their second pick wont be around come 47

The need for a pick in the 30s is from the draft sanctions we have just come out of. Far to big of a gap between pick 10-43.

Is it a good move? only time will tell, but i can see why the decision was made

Maybe 14 is Noble's lucky number, god I hope the Cats get a jet at No. 10, that will worth decades of shame!!

I think we used most of our draft luck with the McLoed/Groom trade, so i wouldnt be surprised if the Cats pick a great player.

There is simply no way of predicting that.

Every club gets thrown a curve ball at the draft every year, Port were adamant Wingard would not be available at our pick 6. History......
