Talk on the national game

Alternate guernseys during finals.

Postby Mr66 » Fri Sep 15, 2006 9:06 pm

Hooray to Fremantle last week who wore their all white away strip v The Scum,
but Faint Kilda last week wore their normal home guernsey against Melbourne and
now Melbourne are wearing their home jumper against Fremantle.
Are clubs only fair dinkum abouth alternate jumpers during the H&A season? :?
If one person does it, it's insanity. If millions do it, it's religion.

A shocking spectacle... Melb v Freo, with identical guernseys- surely someone in AFL would've woken up to it?
A review needs to be done immediately, on all permutations for jumper clashes.
Freo have clash jumpers, but were entitled to wear their home jumper.
Melbourne should've worn their all red jumper.

West Coast v Bulldogs, both have similar shades of blue, but even though it's not as bad, Bulldogs should have a (white with Bulldog logo?) clash jumper, as the away side.

The AFL have f**ked up on this, what is Demetriou being payed more than the PM for?

Im not normally one to whinge about the similarity of jumpers but it ws the first thing I noticed when looking at the game last week.
Good enough for Freo when away then Melbourne should have done the same.

Pretty ordinary.

Away guernseys or 'clash' guernseys don't rob a club of its history or tradition.
