Wel that's just it, it doesn't help them at all. Just another stupid rule that doesn't need to be there. Leave the game alone FFS.

i'm not arguing with you guys, but here's my thinking.

sure, the players will have less oppurtunities to have a rest, but when they do rest, it'll be for longer.

twice last season i seen Dane Swan kick a goal, sprint to the bench, have a 30 second rest, and was back on the ground before the ball had been bounced again. to me, that's just plain stupid. he would have burnt a lot more energy sprinting to the bench and sprinting back onto the field, than he would have casually jogging back to the center bounce.

the way i see it, instead of 10 thirty second breaks during a game, the player will now just have 4 or 5 two minute breaks.

therefore, this rule doesn't bother me in the least.

Yeah good point, didn't think of it like that.

very good point raised

players who run to the bench after kicking a goal is the most ridiculous thing ive seen, surely after a goal is kicked the confidence level goes up, therefore i believe they are likely to play a lot better as they are involved in the match, as opposed to coming to the bench whether or not its part of the rotation surely it would have a more negative impact on that players mindeset
