Will you be calling up Foxtel to connect in to AFL programming this season if you have not already?

I've got Fox, so yes I'll watch it.

Being a Carlton supporter, I need to have Fox to watch my side each week.

Ive got Fox.

I'm a port fan so for me its not so much getting access to the games my team is involved in, more so coverage of 9 games a weekend plus relpays during the week. An adequate fix for a complete footy nut!

Won't ever get it i reckon. i get several swan games a year on free to air and they broadcast the finals, so im pretty happy with that. And any i can't watch i check live updates on afl.com.

Pay tv costs me $80 a month and I sure as hell hammer it for sport, news and whatever else takes my fancy at any given time. So, 20 bucks a week. What's that in real terms? A cask of Chateau Cardboard, four beers, a takeaway curry or pizza, five cappuccino's...

Its not too bad. Me and the missus just got our first place. We both work full time, but dont have great wages, plus I have some financial baggage, so all our money is spent on necessities. We have NBN internet and put good food on the table, but extra things like Foxtel arent really even a consideration at the moment. Plus we're trying to accumulate furniture to fill the house.

Good fun :D

Agreed first time I got foxtel I was very concerned that I watched to much tv.

Then I went to work and everyone was talking to me about "x factor" "survivor" "mkr" and "packed to the rafters". Shows I had never Even heard of yet alone watched.

Foxtel simply gives people a better selection.

As opposed to makes you sit down to watch tv 24/7.

Fox costs us 100 a month as well, but because I'm a footy tragic, I weigh it up that it's 25 bucks a week during the season. That's one ticket to a game a week. But that doesn't include the cost of beer, parking, food, travel time etc.

And for that cost, I get all games, all Fox Footy shows and can invite people around to watch games effectively for free. Maybe I should start charging.
