Why Collingwood couldn't win the flag

They would have to travel interstate two weeks in a row! :!:

They never hardly travel interstate and two weeks in a row would be far too much.

This "loser" club severely dented Port Chokers chances 2 years in a row- sending them off to a slow painful death the 1st year (beating them at Football Park, what's your excuse for that?), & going in for the kill the 2nd.
The only way you could win a flag was by us not making the 8, & we weren't the best side going around in either of those years.
Now who's the loser club?

All i've got to say is 1, yes i'll repeat 1, spelt ONE.....premiership in 50 years!!!! Thats a joke in anyones language!! Perhaps it should have been the club to merge with West Torrens, given their similar records ;)

Port won a premiership after 8 years in the competition, not a bad record you'd have to say!!

Collingwood is all hype, if it was judged solely on performance, it would have been relegated to the VFA years ago. Port Adelaide is a winning club, its had down times, but that is certainly a small minority of instances. Collingwood has failed at crucial times throughout its history to stamp itself as a great club ON THE FIELD. It certainly doesn't deserve the amount of adulation/hype that it gets. Indeed the Collingwood football club is all superficial media "puff" with no substance, just like its number 1 supporter :P

Go back and peruse Collingwood's finals performances in the last 50 years and you'll realise who the TRUE chokers are ;)

They arent the Wobbles for no reason. They remain the biggest joke in Australian sport, Queensland in the Sheffield shield has moved out of Collingwood's league, and so has Centrals. You're on your own now Collingwood, how about doing something on the field, or if not maybe watch the 04 premiership on tape to see how to beat the Lions in a GF :D

Um, 2 in 48, making it 1 in 24 years...

Collingwood reached the 2002 & 2003 GF's despite being 4th or 5th best in the comp in those years.

Collingwood are possibly the greatest over achievers in the history of the VFL/AFL. They also over achieved in 1960,64,66,77,79,80 and 81. Mind you I think there greatest over achievement must be 1970. That was the over achievement to beat all over achievements.

so why start a thread all about collingwood? collingwood are the most talked about club because ppl like you love talking about us. you can call us chokers but port adelaide has finished runnuers up 35 times! but conveniently port power fans cant recall that fact when spouting off about their "success".

the AFL is giving them every opportunity to win the flag, buckley and didak escape suspemsions in the past two weeks, given that players have gone for lesser offences in the past I am a bit confused
