This thread can be used for anything AFL related that doesn't necessarily need a whole thread dedicated to it.

A few players in the news of late for the wrong reason - some more serious than others..

Don't know how it made the media, and even more bewildering how it is linked here.

That's alright, because I'm bewildered by most of your posts too.

In other "news", the Advertiser reports that the Crows have picked up a "recruiting guru", who was previously employed by Port Adelaide (Phil Bunn, who it appears virtually no one knew was employed by the PAFC, or had ever heard of..presumably its the former North Adelaide player).

They said he has had a good track record of recruiting and developing players at Port over the last 5 years....

Thought I read somewhere that he had been responsible for Port's Victorian based scouting? Not sure exactly who that includes, but think it unlikely any selections that fit that category would be worse than their local selections of recent years?

Well, he's a "guru", so clearly he is a huge loss to the club.

Being half serious, the major issue to me, is the way it was reported in the paper, in particular the headline, it is the off season though, so I guess anything is big news.

But if we look at Jacobs, Moore, and Pittard - the jury is probably out on their selection. Recruiting from other states hasn't always been fantastic admittedly.

Time to retire unfortunately i think. It is clear his body cannot stand up to the rigours of AFL footy...

AFL said it was a knee "scare" on twitter, then you click the link and it says he has done his ACL.

since when has an ACL (especially a third ACL) been a scare.
