I am by no means a Port fan, but they should chase Basset as a defensive coach.
He'd be perfect for them
He is great at getting a bunch of young dudes all on the same page & playing a effective brand of defensive footy.

Would probably be even better as an AFL senior coach

So if no assist job become available for him at any other AFL club he'd still knock back Port if there was a job for him?
Does he think he's too good for Port?....... probably!

I reckon Bass has to be in the mix for a role at Port

Go the Hawks. They get an assistant coach whose last match was a loss to Gold Coast with another milestone a loss to Port. Then they grab some old **** to play in the backline who hasn't played a good game in two years.

I read somewhere that the Hawks played ZERO debutants last season (I'm actually struggling to believe this even Rossy under Lyon wouldn't have tried that shit) and they've done much more recycling than an overpaid Vissy ambassador.

If the premiership favourites (LMAO here we go ****) can't win the flag this year then they are seriously rooted. I think I'd rather finish seventh and get some games into the next generation than play no newbies and win bugger all then top up the coaching and playing list with has beens.

Keep up the good work boys.

No offence but a job at Port Power is not on many hit lists ! Broke, no prospects of improvement and will almost certainly fold within 5 years. Why would anyone want to go there ?
If no assistant jobs in the AFL that are suitable come up then Nathan Bassett will continue to coach Norwood.

Not at all, he has said he would knock back the Crows aswell.
He feels his development would be greater at an interstate club.
