Sort of got started on another thread, what is the most memorable moment you've seen in a Grand Final.

Game changer, feel good moment, pure match winner, whatever!

This will vary person to person with age obviously.

For me, it's:

LEO BARRY YOU STAR!!!

The Garry Ablett 3rd man up and the the snapping of the ball almost all in the one motion for a goal in 1989.

A Peter Daicos goal right in front of me as a young buck in the 1981 Granny, he was my fave player back in the day.

Leo Barry's grab is hard to top, although the (in)famous Harms play in 79 is still pretty famous.

Michael Longs run and goal in 93 .. Leon Bakers last quarter in 84, the blue in 85.

So many awesome moments!!

As a saint, I've seen 3 losing gfs. Goddards mark was good from a saints pov.

But I think jarman in the 97 was brilliant.

From a biased view - Darren Jarman in 1997

Excluding the Crows flags - Ablett in 89, Brisbane's comeback in 2001, Brisbane all game in 2003, Leo Barry as said, Chapman's winning goal in 2009, Rioli in 2008, so many memorable moments for me over the years.

2007 seeing Billy Brownless crying always has remained with me. After all the pain of the 90's that eased the pain.

2009 Scarlos chip kick to Ablett who moved it to chappy. Bobby Davis handing over the cup was also great.

2011 Tomahawk taking the big grabs in the last half which helped win the Grand Final. Also just before half time Bartel's goal.

2004 Chocco coming down to the boundary line

1989 Yeates cleaning up Dermie then watching him get up and push the trainer away and keep playing

2007. Ottens runs down Pettigrew and Port started running around in circles while we played pure football. After the nineties that was absolute GOLD.

It wasn't so much the mark, as the timing of it.

Also the confidence and composure to risk going for the mark as a defender at that stage of the game rather than just spoiling
